Having published many national and international studies, Dr. MİHMANLI became associate professor in 1996 and chief of general surgery clinic in 1998. In 2004, he took the title of Professor at Sakarya University and participated in the efforts to establish a Faculty of Medicine and established a medical faculty in this university. In 2008, he returned to Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital as the clinic chief. In 2012, the Ministry of Health received a Surgical Oncology Specialist certificate for his studies in the field of Surgical Oncology.
In 2002 and 2004, he conducted studies on stomach cancer at the Tokyo National Cancer Center (NCCN) in Japan. In 2004, he published his book on stomach cancer and surgical treatment. It published and updated the second edition in 2006 and the third edition in 2016.
He is a member of many national and international associations. MİHMANLI was accepted as a member of the United States Surgical Association (ACS) in 2007 and received the FACS certificate and title. In 2012, he was elected as a member of the Board of the Turkish Surgical Association and became the General Secretary of the Association. He was re-elected as a board member in 2014 and 2016.
Prof. Dr. MİHMANLI is still working as a faculty member at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery.
